Thank fuck.
Technically it s my girlfriends house so when the shower broke there was nothing I could do as she wouldn’t have a plumber in unless i cleaned it, which was definately not going to happen.
I mean the principle of needing to wash a shower before a plumber who spends half his day shoulder deep in other peoples shit was a bit ridiculous. That and every time you trid to wash the shower the blockage would mean that all the water that went down the plughole would spew back out with more ming than there was before.
Anyhow I finally fixed it so I can have more a shower more than once a month now :weee::weee::weee::weee::weee:

I fitted a filter (like you get in sinks in big kitchens) in the plugole that can be easily removed and cleaned every so often which should stop the problem I think.

December 5, 2007 at 11:47 pm #1125847Nice one. I managed to fit 3 sets of taps last month. Never again…. but I’m glad I did it. Stuff being a plumber. Far too fiddly in uncomfortable positions.
