August 13, 2011 at 5:41 pm #1242376this is a brand new one on Norwich Road. – I think it replaces the older one nearer town and is good because it uses up otherwise empty shop unit but its just by that busy 3 way junction with Bramford Road.
If I get some spare time I might befriend the people in the shops and the Muslim chaps opposite who have set up a new restaurant first (I would be standing in their car park to get the best shot and that would be the only place I wouldn’t be at risk of being knocked down) so I can get a decent photo and people won’t be so concerned about my activities.
You can’t blame anyone in those ends being a bit paranoid about “strangers” taking photos of their business premises as in city areas thieves do that to size up entry and exit points but this is not London or SE England – it might not be the “coolest” place and it has its problems but it has a genuine community spirit here, and people look out for each other which is why our very multicultural streets didn’t burn this week..
plus I want to check out the shop and the restaurant anyway as there’s bound to be lots of interesting food and stuff there 😉
