Thought I’d ask this question and poll it.
If Britain/Your Country went to war and it got to the scale where there was a call up would you go if called up?
January 10, 2009 at 6:18 pm #1191021I’d join up if Britain herself was under threat. No question. More over to protect my family and friends from harm. Plus this country may have its faults but imo worth defending. 😉

But if called up i’d have to ask why we was fightin before picking up a gun or what ever.

I tried to retake my navy test but they fucked me around so i ain’t up for it no more. Might be getting laid off soon so am considering joining the army. Not as infantry mind but see what they can offer me. 😉

Dont go logistics coz the Taliban and insurgents know thats our week link at the monent ant hit convoys very often.

January 10, 2009 at 10:41 pm #1191009it would have to a massive, immediate, direct threat to our actual country before i fought anyone and even then i would probably rather just take my immediate family and go and live somewhere else
i can’t see how it would be ‘my’ war to fight as apart from some historical family ties to the area i live in there’s not enough about england that i would find worth dying for

yeah .. and in the current state of affares .. the reason we would get attacked would most likely be something of “our” as in our cuntrs leaders doings .. who alltho leed a “democractic” state .. we have no or little say in what they decide … so even tho i put “would give medical help” .. (even tho i know not much about it, it was the only option that close fitted what i would do) i would rather up and go and leave the people who would of got us into the mess of a home attack to fend for them selves .. as they seem to think they can decide what is best for us all with out really asking … so they obviosly are big enuff to sought there own shit out with out millions of people being forced into doing what they say! :weee:

I have shitloads of family here (Irish/English family numbering 200 at least) so i’d go and fight and die if need be to protect them. If it was another Iraq my answer would be fuck that!! 😉

I don’t think I would in all honesty, mainly because I believe that there are more effective ways of dealing with situations other than blowing the shit into people.
If I had to I think it would either be medical or someone who helps the local civilian population, as they are always the unfortunate “collateral damage” despite being entirely innocent.
