What do you guys reccon to this? now we all love t o go raving but who wants to drive home really fucked or to get on a train comming down like a thing thats comming down far to far and is very comming down. Who thinks a hotel specifically for party people would be a good idea? perhaps like hold after parties there and have rooms and board for like some money each night. i was thinking this would be wicked. who thinks?
April 20, 2007 at 11:50 am #1103301its a good idea but property is extremely fucking expensive these days and it would be difficult to fund it with the sort of room costs that ravers can afford..
plus the feds would really lean on it, as they would expect all manner of deals would go down there. (you’d also have to be really on the ball with security or gangsters/pikeys would rinse the place).
TBH even if you pulled it off unless you were very discreet/careful the cops would probably get a closure order amid scenes like the end of the video to the B52’s track “love shack…”
April 20, 2007 at 12:15 pm #1103303good idea in theory…but in practice in this country ..your trippin right …it would have to have very strict security ……like the idea tho…but you can get a hotel anyway if your too trashed to drive home .:crazy_dru
April 20, 2007 at 12:21 pm #1103304Seems a bit pointless, as you would still have to drive to wherever the hotel was located. Unless it was a mobile hotel. In that case rock on!!
April 20, 2007 at 12:48 pm #1103302the concept of a raver-friendly after-party venue with accomodation isn’t a bad one, but TBH I’m sure that events were held in country club/hotel type places back in the early 90s…eventually though the cops cottoned on to the fact that here was a big venue in the middle of nowhere where people were caning bare drugs, and the places got busted big time…
Because of this laws have changed and it would be commercial suicide to do it today.
Cops can put a closure order on your business the moment they can prove that drug use is being permitted in the place, or there is any suspicion that drugs money is being used to fund anything.
Everything from hairdressers to second-hand computer shops has been turned over this way using these new laws (part of the anti-social behaviour legislation).
