Cannes has seen its share of stars and celebrities, but few have had as much impact in Asia’s music scene than award-winning Taiwanese alternative rock band Mayday. With multi-million album sales and three Golden Melody Awards for Best Band, Mayday has grown into one of the pioneers of rock music in Taiwan and built a fanbase across East Asia. Joined by Taiwanese rock band MATZKA and up-and-coming musician Yen-J, Taiwan’s mega-band will be providing a rare performance as part of the ‘Made in Taiwan’ showcase at this year’s MIDEM conference.
