managed a 5 hour test “uplink” stream in preparation for resuming live sets (the 80s tunes and piratenhits are deliberate as if I used EDM I’d risk confusing the mountpoint with a VFR transcode)
also started rewiring the LSD02/03 control circuits (these switch the mic live light, and whether headphones output is from my controller PFL or the main desk). a push button (or me touching the control wire to earth) toggles between these circuits LSD03 is coded so I can use the mic or talkback and the PFL is overridden to green (so i can hear myself correctly) but when I’ve finished talking the PFL state is remembered so I could even do short announcements whilst mixing live as the headphones go back to the controller PFL…
still more wires to tidy up and the “studio in use” lamp to be added as well as the intercom / signalling so my mum doesn’t keep banging on the door to attract my attention when the music is on loud (I’m putting a “doorbell” switch outside as well as a wall mounted phone on hotline to one of the PABX extension phones in the studio)
