true, but 400-800 volts is a particularly nasty voltage as there are just enough volts to drive a fatal current through the body due to its resistance..

most people who slip on something like a railway track are going to reach out with their hands to try and rebalance themselves – there is a very good chance they may touch the live rail with one hand and one of the earthed rails with the other, plus DC causes muscle contractions which can make the victim lock on to the live conductor (also causing secondary injury via burns)

I think one of the writers in Barking was killed this way a few years back..

yeah with certain voltages ..for them to be used … the ampage will be leathel/v dangerose due to the resistance needed for them to be used in the way needed …. and yeah dc if nasty stuff if you touch it … there was some dude who jumped over the fence of a rail way line some where within news paper coverage distance from me …. i think he was running from the police for some reason .. graf is a posibility … he landed on the over head wires tho .. they are in the 100’s of thou volts (i should know it exactly as i used to work on the railways .. but have forgoten it as i was only in my training when i left) but they are AC … he got projected off of them on contact … and survived .. :weee:
