its a good thing there aren’t too many militant animal rights people on here; you would otherwise getting hassle for being unfair to the toad!

having had a look at a few more pictures I think it is as GoodDog and the Rev pointed out a common frog (Rana temporaria).

Toads are somewhat wartier and walk rather than hop… this creature was definitely hopping

The angle it was taken from made it look rather toad-like – bear in mind though it was pissing down with rain, pitch dark other than the office lights and I wasn’t really up for chasing a frog across a damp courtyard to get any more pictures – I’m not Steve bloody Irwin!
