Digitals working now. had to pull the plug cable out of it and now it’s fine.

Not happy with Virgin Media. Their products fuck up all the time.

If i ever meet Richard Branson i’m going to kick him in the balls.

its a postcode lottery – when I lived in Reading I was a customer of NTL from 1994 but they didn’t even want my business when I moved into Ipswich – there was a problem with the duct the cable goes through into to the house and their normal vans didn’t have the right equipment to repair it..

OTOH someone in the same area of Reading was quoted ยฃ3000 for a single phone line by BT as they were going to bill her for an entire new multipair cable (as they had reached capacity and the cables there were old), when she complained they said “call NTL and see if they can do it cheaper”. These companies can afford to turn down customers as there is more demand for telecommunications than resources – there is an argument for making the telecommunications infrastructure (the wires and cables and exchanges) public resources similar to how it was when I was a boy (but not starving it of resources like Thatcho did) so everyone gets a fair service, particularly in rural areas.

BTW your support for your voice telephone line on NTL/Virgin has been outsourced to British Telecom as they couldn’t support their customers!
