Just wondering if anybody here does poi or firepoi and wouldn’t mind helping me you see I am trying to do Behind the back reverse Weave and Turn
and I either keep setting myself on fire or hitting myself in the face and it’s really annoying, help would be appreciated.
Those who don’t know what poi is you should look it up and give it ago, it’s alot of fun.

ive taught myself devil sticks and diablo, but poi is a recipe for disaster as far as im concerned. set my self on fire a few times, including a shitload of my hair, and nearly knocked myself out/ constricted my legs before.
Silverfox: Do you ever go to sunrise? (Noticed you’re from Manchester) I’ve only been once, but there were a couple of people doing poi who were pretty good. (I juggle – poi is impossible)
hi im Elanor and im 16 and have been doing poi for about 6 years now i recently cracked the behind your back weave and turn so i thought id share some tips with you to save the bruises . i started out doing it with one hand spinning figure of 8 behind my back then once you can do this with both hands try putting them together it takes a lot of practice and two sore arms at the end of the day but you will get there eventually i find sometimes its better to pick the poi up and just do it try not to think to technically about what you are doing . bare in mind you do have to know 5 beat weave quite well forward and backwords first. it helps also to put some rhythmic music on like drum and bass , techno whatever … it helps keep beat. try meeting with others that do poi it really helps watching people doing the move ! i do glow and fire poi been doin fire poi bout two years . if any 1 is goin 2 the big green gathering prehaps we can meet and poi , swap moves etc.. any how enough from me , stay happy and keep poing all u poisons out there !! chill feel the vibe and stay happy

no I can’t say I have, Gasworks has alot of poi meetings and picadilly gardens aswell, never heard of sunrise…depending on where abouts in manchester you mean
