Gutted I missed it. I have not been able to connect to the internet all day.

Just sits there saying “verifying username and password” and then reads some sort of error PPP or something. Had it before and it seems to coincide with heavy rain so I should imagine GL is right about the water egtting in to the terminals and messing them up.

Been trying on and off all day and only just got on.

We had exactly the same symptoms a while back (It wankered the phone a little bit too) like you say worse in the rain.When the engineer came he said it was all down to a “faulty pair” if that Helps:bounce_fl

ours used to go pear shaped regularly and the engineers said it was water in the cables and capacitance on the line:groucho:

nowadays i tend to reboot my modem regularly which keeps the trouble at bay and unplug it every so often tooraaaraaaraaa
