I’ve been getting into the party scene a lot recently and i was wonderering how does one find out about events that are happening in the local area, i live near Wymondham in Norfolk, to give you more of a clue. I know a few people who go but i rarely see them so how would i go about finding out?
Also i can’t drive (im too young!!) so i can’t go too far, but it doesn’t matter to much.
Iknow it’s possible that the police are watching these forums to try and find out infomation and shut the parties down, so im not looking for numbers or places, just an idea/guide of how to find out.
Thanks for your help,
PTh

If you stick around here and contribute to the threads it puts people at ease (they are wary about cops and journalists digging for info) and eventually people from your area send you messages..
I have only recently moved to EA myself but a few people from here got in touch with me and have helped me out.. a lot of raves though aren’t always put on a partyline as cops too can ring this number (lots of crews have stopped using them); what often happens is that a small number of trusted people call others on their own personal mobiles to say where the event is..
TBH to get to most parties in this area you will need to find some friends who are a bit older and driving; unless you are prepared to go on some proper missions to find them after walking or cycling from the nearest train station! (most party locations are within 5-10 miles of a train station).
It can be done, but you will need good local knowledge and be able to read electronic and paper maps well (good skills to have anyway) and you will need to be sure the party hasn’t relocated due to cops…
but if you like exploring its not that difficult to get to many events even without a car… (I’ve done it quite a few times….)
its also not uncommon if you live in a semi-rural area to find parties happen very close to you sometimes 😉

LatersJuly 31, 2006 at 9:26 am #1084452Morning all,
I have been living in east anglia, norfolk for about 6 1/2 years now, but like i said ive only been recently getting into the party scene,
Travelling isnt to much of a problem i can get lifts etc but its to out of county events that are a problem but ill wait till i can drive till then.
I have pretty good local knowledge, i know of parties that happen quite close to me but i don’t know enough infomation to go if you get what im saying?
