      It’s quite deep and heavy, found in early Jungle, know the type I mean? sounds like boom….BOOM-BOOM-BOOM…boom.

      yeah so whats the best way to make this sound? I hear you can use 808 kicks but would prefer to make it from scratch.

        Have you got an example sound clip? You could try using a Juno X2 VSTi which recreates a lot of the old Juno style bass and leads.

            Or just tell me a tune with that particular bass in. I’m not saying I’ll definitely be able to help but I’ll give it a go! 😉

                I’ll give it a go and see if I can replicate it. If I can then I’ll let you know how I did it. Sounds like a standard sine wave with a low pass filter and then plenty of chorus and reverb added to that then resampled with a steep release on the envelope so it doesn’t sound too boomy.

                I’m not an expert though.

                  Just had a quick go. It didn’t turn out exactly the same but it’s similar.

                  V-station:
                  Sine Wave with low pass filter and a touch of resonance. Fast attack and release.
                  Slightly detuned Saw Wave just bubbling underneath.

                  A ton of reverb and chorus but have the reverb on short release.

                  Eq’d with 200hz cut with a tight q and a slight boost around 65hz.

                    Just tried it the same way and got it slightly near but not quite, I’ll just sample the file I linked to, it’s gonna be the best thing I think.
