PS – anarchists: even us leftie types can afford or obtain high contrast LCD monitors now – OK I tend to buy some of mine but I am “real ale” socialist rather than a champagne one, and got at least one by fixing a 30p component on the backlight circuit. I have already shared the tips on how to do this for those who can wield a soldering iron. Alternatively folk use laptops and most of mine are right on recycled machines – I did purchase the netbook but it means I can fit it my bike panniers at the weekend and reserve the rest of the space for beer to share with my mates.
Anyway this means it is no longer necessary to use white text on dark backgrounds for your websites like back in the 90s when I coded one, in fact it is oppressive to your readers eyes and they give up trying to read it. which is a big shame as often your articles are interesting.
