They wrote the script them selves (Grammar) and then acted it out (speaking). I came up with this lesson plan after watching a play in Bangkok. So I got out my camera and pressed record and got this great result. Bear in mind English is there second language so I think this is great. 😉

        Either that or you’re a good teacher:wink:
BTW themselves is one word. Sorry for patronizing you but if they’re learning English grammar it might be of some help.
Do you teach English as a foreign language and if so, did you do the TEFL course? Something that might interest me when I get clean.
Carry on the good work matey.

Yeah I did my T.E.F.L course when I was in Thailand. All the schools in South East Asia are crying out for T.E.F.L. teachers and in Thailand they are more jobs than English speaking teachers. I teach English as a foriegn language but only speaking and conversation at my school. The video was made at a private lesson (there is a shit load of this type of work as well).
The one thing you should be aware of is the new Thai visa rules if you are thinking of working here.
Now immirgation are cracking down on Illegal workers (which I am one :hopeless: )
To get your working visa here you need 1 degree and there transcripts
2 T.E.F.L. and number 3 A lot of running around chasing paperwork.
I fail on number 1 :hopeless:
Does this mean I have to come back to England ? No, I’m sure you know that all rules have loop holes and Thai loop holes are big. I shall say know more. 😉
So if your’e intresested leave us a private message or use my space. I’ll help as much as possible.
              Peace,love and unity.

They have been learning with me for 6 months now.
All Thai children start learning English from a very early age but when they get to there first year at school (what 13 years old) they start to study English fully.

Is it all Thai children that learn English or just the ones that their familys can afford to send to school? BTW their first year of school is when they are 13!? The reason I ask this is because when I’ve visited Thailand I have always found a great majority of Thais don’t speak a word of English. But maybe it’s just the poor ones I’ve spoken to which brings me back round to my first question.
Keep up the good work you’re doing a grand job. BTW is it true that the TEFL certificates can be bought on the black market in Bangkok?

Yes, all Thai children learn Engish form an early age. But as you noticed most can’t speak it. At school before us foriegn teachers came here they only learn’t reading and writing. Hopefully now there speaking is getting better but as you pointed out most Thai children find the English hard.
That’s because it is hard like me learning Thai (wow its hard)
You get chilrens parent’s who can afford private lessons and these kids English is good. Money talks ha.

As for the Bangkok black market you can buy anything (except drugs but yaba is always around). This is some of the loop holes I was talking about but didn’t want to give to much away.
But bear in mind that Thai immirgration are hot on this subject so be prepared to answer quick fire questions when using real T.E.F.L and fake ones.

I’m now in the process of getting my working visa as I’m doing an online degree so wish me luck.
