i mean, i love certain dancehall tracks, but the artists say proper homophobic stuff that i disagree with, some even connceted to attacks on homosexuals. but i still buy their music cos i love the song and want it on vinyl.
what bout y’all, ever pause on buyin that sizzla or buju banton record?

thought dance hall music was like jaz bands n big band music! i thought r&b was blues music till last week.

February 19, 2008 at 7:49 pm #1155655i dont really listen to or buy stuff with hateful lyrics. the rappers i prefer promote peace and bands i like generally dont have anything hateful or violent in them.
but tbh, it wouldnt really stop me buying anything. its better you buy them where they wont have any impact compared to some impressional dick who just wants to be like the artists in every way, even mimmicing beliefs and opinions of aggressive rappers and the gun-ho image that seems to be popular.
