Mate,
S’not me being pc unfortunately. If you knew the kind of week I’ve had you’d understand why I’m straining to be cheery… Still never mind heh, at least I’ve got your fanatical bible kissing tendencies to keep me amused! 🙂
December 24, 2004 at 1:58 pm #1063383I was actually brought up as a “good catholic boy” 😀 (yes, there are lots of Asian catholics, particularly in SE Asia. They actually get on well with Muslims as they pretty much worship the same gods but with different names! )
Was put through a number of schools with various scarey nuns and chapel every week (with bits in latin as well) – once did (at age 10!) a school project on the Troubles and the IRA (complete with descriptions of how IEDs were made) for which the nuns said it was “grand” and gave me an A grade! (Nowadays I would prolly have ended up in care and the family home would have been searched…)
December 24, 2004 at 5:52 pm #1063386Sorry to hear it. Hope things start to look up for you quick sharp.
GL: Ouch, that sounds like a nightmare education. I’m glad my mother gave me the option of deciding for myself if I was to be involved with religion or not.
Went to a couple of christingles and that was my lot. Didn’t go to sunday school either. Although I did feel like I was missing out when I was younger.

December 24, 2004 at 9:09 pm #1063387I’ve just this minute finished wiping the tears from my eyes.
Joking aside, nah mate I didn’t take offence.
