sorry to hear this, (late 20s to mid 30s is a very dangerous age for us young(ish) men with regard to mental health, particularly if you were partying hard and something negative happens)
kudos to Lorraine for just asking for the account to have been closed, rather than handing over the passwords etc to the Police which a lot of families would have done. It may be worth asking whether she wishes the pictures etc stored there to be sent back to her or just deleted, as I appreciate they may not hold particularly good memories for her..
