You have all probably been bord to death with my acid techno tune but I have made some changes added some new hats and drums and removed the two kick drums that I left over each other by mistake. 😛

I still haven’t quite got the kick right but I have got a technician from the museum of DNB looking into it for me. Unfortunately the museum of techno is unavailable.

I am also loosing my patience with soundcloud. It seems every file I upload sounds like it’s underground in a sewer. Is this SC’s way of saying my music is poo, and deserves to be with the rest of the poo.

I dunno maybe its me. But i’m gonna be using my sendspace account for a while till I figure out whats wrong http://www.sendspace.com/file/ypsbyq

are the soundcloud files getting mangled when you stream it or is even the wav file being trashed? the wav file should stay as good as the original but streaming also introduces compression so if you have a highly compressed track anyway there will be two loads of this and hence the loss of dynamic range.

I believe it’s just the stream. I’m just listening back to them now and the download files are perfect. As far as the tune being highly compressed. It does have some compression on the kick, but not a huge ammount.

sounds a lot better now. If you accidentally had two sets of kick drums that might have been what doubled the compression. I’d try and go for a better quality mastering rate as well (24 bits or above) if your computer can handle it (even older ones should be able to do this)
