I’ve heard a few stations on Radionomy and whilst they initially offer a tempting “free” package and take on a lot of tech effort compared to setting up servers and local playout, they also impose their own soundprocessing on the programme output that knackers anything with bass in it (to make it sound louder on small speakers, indeed I recently readjusted a soundprocessor at my local community radio to remove this setting), and there appears to be no control over this, nor what ads get played out and when (especially due to encoder lag) I’m not sure how the presenter/producers avoid their programme material being cut across by adverts (something I hear regularly on other online stations and that really sounds rough and annoying).
