November 3, 2012 at 6:20 pm #1261193My vote won’t be made until a few weeks until I experience this ‘Brighton’ myself…
November 3, 2012 at 6:51 pm #1261186Sometimes people end up in comas when they get a first glimpse of the bright town so i urge you to exercise caution. One way to ensure completely safety from the bright towns harmfull brighfullness is to have a safety layer of ketamine between you and the bright town.
November 3, 2012 at 7:50 pm #1261194Thanks for the advice.
This is so mystical to me.
November 3, 2012 at 8:15 pm #1261187Just bring some mega elixer just incase.

Those magic pots sure do sort you out if you elixir em up.
November 3, 2012 at 8:41 pm #1261202It’s proper bright man, and a little cold at times on the seafront, hence the term Brighton breezy!
It’s quite PC too, the inhabitants like to B right on!
The best way to describe how bright it is, is the fact that when it’s been raining for ages and then the sun comes out, people say it’s Brightoned up! Nuff said I reckon…
November 3, 2012 at 9:24 pm #1261196Let’s Brighton it up when it’s brightoning up in Brighton. SKLEP OUT!

mate you should revive the end of the pier show :laugh_at: (they still have it here in some areas, although most of the variety performers have kicked bucket, are too elderly and rickety or been nicked for being nonces)

Ha ha, cheers mate! I have a vague recollection of those type of shows from childhood holidays and suchlike, they weren’t too bad as I recall. Don’t think I’d want to do one down here though, mostly because both piers have had fires at the end of them in recent years and knowing my luck, the embers would re-ignite whilst I was there!
November 4, 2012 at 12:44 am #1261200I worked on brighton pier…crazy summer.

I remember parents taking us out for the day when we were little, it was blowing a fucking gale, we parked up near the front, ate our sanwiches and drunk our tea from the flask- sat there for about an hour (all in the car)and drove home!!! :laugh_at:

When I was partying in Yarmouth with Scouse and friends around 2009 it was June and yet blowing a cold North Sea wind (i.e nothing like summer weather) and the highlight of the afternoon after was watching two fat policemen arrest a fat oaf who had been throwing his (considerable) weight about both in the club and at the afterparty gathering on the beach. I photographed all 3 and was getting people to try and guess the combined weight of them (which I reckon to be way over 250kg)

November 5, 2012 at 3:58 pm #1261199Hmmm… I was never tempted to go there. Plenty of people I know went and said they had a great time. Some of them went there and died. A few people told me that it was cheese n’ Estuary rip off city.
Luck of the draw, I guess.

November 5, 2012 at 9:15 pm #1261191I love brighton! dont get to come down as much as I’d like,
last time we went down for the stonewall charity walk, met up with some of our mates and got smashed trawling several of the gay bars, ending up in some awfully funny club / bar, I danced like a loon til the end and collapsed back at the van.
