That’s right, the Bio-Tech Soundsystem show has been resurrected!
Every Sunday from 12:00 – 14:00 GMT
Regular hosts will be Totem & Titch alternating each week. With two regular dj’s still to join us.
Expect Breakbeat, Techno, Drum & Bass, Old School, Dubstep (the good kind!) and maybe even a bit of ambient.
Special slots will eventually be dedicated to guest mixes and up and coming artists will be selected to showcase their tunes.
So if you’ve been out Saturday night and want to carry on the party at home, or you’ve stayed in and want to crank up the system with us:
Tune in every Sunday from 12:00 – 14:00

this is after the levels were cranked up slightly (to BBC standard). For these meters the music should peak at 5 or 6 at absolute maximumApril 22, 2012 at 1:26 pm #1252553
another pointer(!) is that BBC use the nautical standard for identifying left and right channels.
so left = port / red
right = starboard / green
this is “backwards” to most other equipment outside the BBC (so were their mixer faders until recently). the other meters show stereo separation which TBH isn’t as relevant for digital broadcasting and is a hangover from Band II FM broadcast where overloading this side is bad as it can cause undesirable interference on the TX (into the comms of aircraft!)
a lot of BBC stuff is nautical, Broadcasting House/Auntie was considered to be a “ship”. and ships are always female and supposed to be looked after well, but sadly the current trend seem to be “treat the old girl roughly, and when she is half scrap iron send her up North to be broken up”, which is exactly what the idiots in govt seem to be doing to our national broadcaster 😥April 27, 2012 at 11:27 am #1252560

me too – though unlike the industrious North Europeans I was still at bed until just now (had been staying up late recently!). But I also should water these plants because of weather, but will have to haul buckets like a ancient Chinaman in Malaya as hosepipe is banned across the region.
That said if you have anything like CPC farnell in DK (maybe Conrad operates there) I saw outdoor speakers with relatively good frequency response 😉May 27, 2012 at 1:33 pm #1252587thelogParticipant
As I mentioned in my other thread. Me was having trouble streaming. 🙁May 27, 2012 at 9:22 pm #1252576
