3 she says she hates drunks, but the one time i watched it, she was drunk- Well you only watched 10 minutes of the opening night? She was hardly chanting football songs and smashing pint glasses over peoples heads?
4 shes excerutiating to watch (resulting in me switching off) Think of all the electricity you’ll save, you could send us all to have elocution lessons and well could all speak the queens english like you.
5 shes a pompas, and arrogant- Shes honest and says what she thinks in a house of silly little bitchy girls.
6 what is this gonna do to the rave society, having so spacky pik haired(nothing wrong with pink hair) who cant pronounce a fucking word- If she cant talk you cant type! Also you just repeated your first two reasons and added she has pink hair….which you noted didnt matter? As for “rave society” or the party community as us commoners call it, i reckon it will have just as much impact as when “ketamine-raving-pete” won it last year. sweet Fuck All!
7 did big brother mean to pick her as the voice of the rave.-Thats a question, not a reason. If a bank manger went on there would it be so they could be “the voice of currency?”
8 welll i switched on four 10 minutes and im not watching this series again, its to excrutiating to watch-As a program, it is shit. But to slate someone who shares similar values to the rest of us on here about our freedom to party and dress/ act/ behave as an individual is a being a hypocrite. (Also that reason is pretty much the same as reason 4)

June 5, 2007 at 9:11 am #1105948I havent watched a single minute of BB but what I do find wrong is the amount of so-called “friends” who have passed on info regarding goings on at raves to the tabloids.
whatever happened to solidarity and integrity amongst ravers?
Although its true that nothing happened to the “scene” after that Pete chap was on last year, in his area there were already way less parties due to zero tolerance…
From some of the things I am hearing though I am a bit concerned that if Norfolk goes zero tolerance this year (which it might do because of failings by certain party crews) she could be scapegoated when in fact its more likely to be a coincidence.
there also seems to be a lot of prejudice as well because she is a bit older and still raving – are we all supposed to give up by age 27 then and do everything blair/cameron/the market tells us to?
At least some of us have managed to grow up and still stay true to our beliefs and want to pass on the fun to the next generation..
June 5, 2007 at 10:10 am #1105969I dont watch this programme – I find it mindless and irritating.
That said I would like to point out to those that do that there are 24 hours of footage for everyday and you see a tiny fraction of it.
What you do see is specially chosen to manipulate your opinions of the people in the house – the ultimate marketing exercise. The producers are trying to improve their ratings so they choose footage designed to get you all hot under the collar and capture your interest. The more controversy the better the ratings….So they set people up in the house who are not going to get along and who are going to cause the audience to take sides so as to create interest and then edit with a view to maintaining this interest.
In light of the heavy editing do you really think you get a true impression of what those people are like ? I dont think you could possibly do so.
I suspect that many of the people evicted off BB and/or tarred by the publicity material are people who, if we met them in real life, we would find to be far nicer than the media led us to believe they were.
This cult of celebrity only serves the media in enabling them to make money out of people’s vicarious interest in how others live. The people who buy magazines/newspapers/view tv to see what celebrities are doing or saying are exhibiting a level of now accepted noseyness into outher people’s lives which they might find offensive were they on the receiving end of it. .
And from most conversations I have overheard on these matters[did you see what so and so did? what an idiot…] the only reason the media output is being consumed with such avid interest is so that people can feel better about themselves by putting the celebrity down for whatever reason they can find. Not something I find attractive in people :noway:
Sometimes I suspect that this kind of reporting is done to cloud the minds of the people who are sucked in by it – if they are paying attention to trivia then the big issues may well pass them by?

I don’t like big brother but I do like to watch the catch up episodes every now and then… it’s well boring to watch live lol
