      I saw 2 Behringer C-2 condenser microphones in the shop just in my budget, but ive never used them befor does anyone know if they are any good for live and recording? i plan on using them for drum over-heads.

        Depends what you mean by ‘any good’. It’s not going to sound like a 414 for that price, but with Behringer you usually get a lot for your money and their kit is a lot more reliable nowadays than the flaky knockoff stuff they were banging out 10 years ago. I’m sure it will do a more-than-adequate job for that pricepoint. Can’t say I have any experience with that mic myself, maybe someone else on here does, but you might get a better answer posting on the Blue Room or another pro audio forum.

          make sure they are built after 2007. there are warnings that earlier ones did not have full balanced output and thus more noise. Newer ones are reasonable for the price. I think they would be good for someone starting out (way better than what I could obtain at age 19 lol, where you were more likely to encounter a condenser mic after being nicked and interviewed in the Police Station..)
