i’ve just moved here and its as dull as beige wallpaper. i also know noone here as anyone i did know has sensibly left. but im here for six months minimum, and i want something decent to do, even if i put it on myself. im in talks with the local creative youth initiative, based at twenty five, a creative dropin lounge, hopefully i’ll be putting on VJ workshops for the kids, funded by the council, but thats only half good. my girlfriend is doing an MA at the art college, so potentially i could put on a student night there. ive been to a few raves round here, so there must be some party heads. im fucked if i can see em wandering round town tho. any suggestions?

used to have a mate at agri college in winchest – sparsholt if im right. well i know he used to frequent raves that way

yea, homelands is here, but thats a way off yet. theyve just opened some cheesy club i’ll be tryign to get a residency there.. cash not fun, basically.

i helped at a rave in petersfeild last year, which isnt too far away.

do the aztek lot even come on here any more?

Hampshire is a virtual no-go area for unlicensed raves.

Hanstpol don’t just bust you, they follow up with PEL prosecutions and surveillance of individuals and were one of the first forces to use confiscation and PEL prosecutions even before the CJA was passed.

In 1992 they were already clamping down and were known as the “ravekillers” (Thames Valley was lenient compared to them).

OTOH there is a large contingent of clubbers in Hampshire though (look on dontstayin, half the site seems to be from that area) and there may be some venues you could use. There was a guy called “The Rev” on here a while ago who is from Southampton I think – not that local but not too far away…
