even feds have health and safety rules and few would want to fuck around with filthy used needles just to get justification to clamp down on raves when they could do so anyway through the proper legal channels!

I’ve known pinheads before and thanks to our NHS giving out freebies in many area its well easy for them to amass a huge store of used needles… I am aware of various incidents of friction what occured between travellers and weekenders at that event and all it takes is one user to find a sin bin and go chucking its contents around

its bullshit like this why I don’t go to large “teknivals” any more… did go to the 2007 wentwood one and it was OK but there wasn’t that much unity; everyone stayed in their camp like there was an East Anglia camp one side and a SE England one the other and few people interacted…

metpol don’t always bust parties because there is fuckloads of other serious crime in Londonistan such as people getting shot and stabbed. They have closed them down on some occasions. but the met have a attitude that its not worth bothering with the smaller fish so they tend to let things go until they can catch out bigger dealers. I have seen them put 16 riot vans worth of cops into a warehouse when it was too new to party – they didn’t do any violence or even put on their riot gear, it was just so many cops you thought “oh shit” and packed up pretty sharpish.

plenty of parties are still happening but more and more stacks are being taken and at every party cops are gathering info on people; they don’t just stick this in a dusty file and forget about it but work out who is attending; whether they have jobs; whether they do other crime etc. It doesn’t mean that individuals will always get nicked but if the cops think its a “suicide” rig then they do start wondering how a group of youths often without long term employment can afford to lose loads of equipment then come back a few months later. it isn’t good when cops start thinking like that as they start wondering just where all the cash might be coming from!

A suicide rig is a rig that the crew are willing to let it get confiscated by OB if it comes down to it.

update – the 20 year old overdose victim was released from Ipswich hospital a few days later having made a full recovery. Unfortunately cops made a fair few arrests for drug posessions including a 15 yr old busted with ketamine (bailed to return) and a large article ran across the local press about this.

and as usual cops have repeated their “getting tough on raves” warning…

TBH I think the 15 yr old was just unlucky, more so as although he will probably just get a Reprimand – but his parents, SCC social services and his school will probably also get notified and contrary to popular misconception a juvenile record does stay with you for life if you have to apply for a job with CRB…

the 20 yr old is better away from all drugs or alcohol at least until he matures! if someone has the personality what makes them overdo it they will be worse on booze and could easily end up hurting other innocent people…
