Guys I’m going to go to the Doctors’ about this. I know everybodies full of electricity (I understood The Matrix) but 4 years ago I had major nerve surgery and had huge electric shocks whilst the nerve was severed for several days.
Since the surgery (still healing) it appears that EVERYTHING electrical I buy becomes faulty within time. At first it was annoying, then amusing, now I’m pissed of cos my tv has lines going through bbc1 (good job it’s a shit channel), 2 video recorders broken, 4 cd players broken, 1 minidisc player broken, 2 motorbikes gone, 1 hair straightner smoking and the other day my Hi Fi packed up whilst I was listening to a tune.
Either someone up there hates me or I’m over charged with bloody electricity. Anyone have any theories??
December 9, 2005 at 8:44 am #1068133Some people can hold a higher static electric charge – most people have a friend whos always complaining the doorbell electricutes them? Its because the static electricity built up in them can bridge the gap through the button to the electrics inside. Well that same electrical charge can get transferred to any electrical equipment you use, messing with capacitors etc. This is why after a while things stop working.
Theres a couple of ways of avoiding/minimising damage:
– Before you use any electrical kit, touch your radiator for a moment, its grounded so it will release any built-up charge.
– Use remote controls as much as possible!December 9, 2005 at 11:08 am #1068130or

Yea it’s your subconcious mind making some weird association, electricity doesn’t like you.
