Baraka nights have got shit down there though, full of nu-ravers getting pissed on their 18th and all thr psy is the same, never seems to change.
They need something abit fresher and get some new people in there.

Yeah, there were quite a few young ‘n’s (first year students :P) at the Baraka event I went to. Still enjoyed it though, especially the fact that they played some dark psy to finish it off. Found some very friendly people to party with afterwards, too.

Did you ever go to The Awakening at Plug ‘n’ Play, in Reading? Those nights were great, IMO. Small venue but the atmosphere was great and I really liked the sound system (Fushion). The music was always really banging too. Annoyed they’ve moved to Bristol… Bristol’s got enough psytrance as it is.

loved plug n play as a venue, just the right size, felt like a party rather than an “event”, all kinds of wicked wronguns, and i do love dancing in industrial estates!

Hahaha, yeah, the sound of THUD THUD THUD coming out of an industrial estate must sound ominous to some!

I love the size of Plug ‘n’ Play too. I find that I prefer smaller venues these days. The music’s always waaay noisier. 😀

Don’t think the next Tribe is until September. Love it there though, the music’s always extremely banging and the decorations are, IMO, unbeatable. 🙂
