TBH what I find more worrying is that half the photos there aren’t actually from gang crime or violent crime (which is rife in Mexico), but simply from road traffic collisions of various sorts…
Dutch news is sometimes more graphic than UK news but even then they have censorship to some extent (more to protect privacy of victims) OTOH the French try and make out as if no one ever gets shot, stabbed or crashes their car in their country leading to conspiracy theories that crime is being covered up…
However I feel if you don’t have at least a basic level of censorship its easy to create a media climate where folk can become desensitised to the effects and it would have an opposite effect .
Also if journos publish photos like this without even bothering to clear it with the relatives, its hardly surprising that no one has respect for them and they get intimidated and shot at all the time…
