series of clips with: Ann Andrews, Tony Andrews and John Newsham – founders, inventors and managers of Funktion One (UK) – very unique loudspeakers manufacturer.

Not to write about F1 itself: listen what they have to say about it and the phenomenon of these great but not too widely popular speakers.

More will be published soon. Check our fb profile or website from time to time.
      Stay tuned.

Video captured autumn 2012. They are talking about a few things, questions and topics the’ve been asked for. Recorded, edited, produced (and invented) for the company Sound Support Pro (Poland) (by Antek Opolski & Łukasz Zygarlicki, SSP).

trying to find some decent info about what happened to turbosound back when they broke up. Seems like they were unhappy with things or the COB tried to turn them over.

Most British electronics companies in the 1970s/80s were plagued with that bloat and corporate politics, thats why we lost our entire industry to the Japanese. (they still bought our speakers though well into the 2000s!) The bit about the clouds/weather is interesting too – I know this changes how radio signals (at far higher frequencies) travel as that is how I can stand in my stairwell and listen to “de blauwe maan” from VRT (the Flemish service of Belgium National Radio) when we get the tropo on band II but hadn’t realised it also affects audio signals too (though that makes sense as well).

They’re now owned by Behringer (along with Midas and Klark Technik).
