Not a good start
Even though I keep my bikes inside the salt water from the road still has slightly rusted the cable for my gears, so the derailleur is re sluggish in changing down. The whole lot will need to be probably stripped, cleaned and re-cabled…
also I hope the salt creating rust doesn’t trash the freewheel block too early as on an e-bike its a real pain replacing this due to the wire in the middle of the axle (there is a large connector which has to be dismantled and reassembled in the correct order)
