they ended up looking okay on my bed with my new sheets. I ended up washing them a million times today to make them soft but apparently only time does that. I’m considering soaking them in salt water for a few hours as that apparently breaks down the starchy shit that comes on them. I don’t think that the duvet cover will ever soften though… I bought it from a vendor in Turkey – it’s handprinted and so awesome:
