Another (half) of a mixer from another Dutch station. In this one its a split console (much more common here in the UK), the middle bit is used for presenters to put stuff like written notes and clipboards on (or they otherwise can get dropped onto the faders/computer keyboards with unwanted results).

there is a warning note on the monitor to presenters – not to cane the sound levels but against overuse of outbound SMS-messages, as they are being charged a staggering €0.35 for each one (no wonder Agentschap Telecom allows all them community stations, they must get the taxes back from other telecoms services)

I’ve had a quick look at a Alice broadcast catalogue (British manufacturers of these, based just outside London near where Tank Girl is) and they have a similar but not quite identical mixer, but probably got the idea from Europe.
