Something I said the other day got me thinking… Most of the music channels on Satellite TV are broadcasting nothing but mainstream pop and hip hop etc.
Now at the risk of giving away a good idea, do you think that an underground dance music channel on satellite TV would work?
You’d have to make it multi-genre I guess, incorporating everything from Deep House to Psy Trance and anything in between. The idea would be to showcase underground bands and DJ’s, and bringing the best in underground music to da people…:bounce_o:
Does anyone else think it’s a good idea? I think I’m going to start researching the costs and see if it’s workable.
What ideas would anyone else have for such a channel?
PLUR
I’d say it’s possible, but difficult. Especially to put it together. And the cost i imagine would be horrible.
If you know artists already in the scene, then you’ve got a starting point. If you know no-one, i’d say don’t bother.
Word to the mother Goose.
I think the scene is in a dire state.
There are people who say too much on there.
Stupid posts.
And the party announcements are so heavily monitored by the police its untrue.
We make it too easy for them, and it needs to stop

still havent made it to a munt this year, how ting gwan?
Yeah mate, server change overs and issues are making her run real slow!
Munt is good mate, excellent in fact, we’ve cleared out most of the bad guys, and are working hard to maintain a safe and happy party environment!
Absolutely.
I firmly stand by the viewpoint that if you get your soundsystem seized outdoors at an event, it is entirely your OWN fault.
I’ve no doubt in my mind that the OB will give you numerous opportunities to walk away with everything in tact.
The simple fact is there are rigs out there who ignore Police requests and carry on a battle against them. Fine do that, but you will lose your sound equipment and you give the rest a bad name.See this as a game.
Sometimes you win.
Sometimes you lose.
Sometimes the police have the upper hand and you let them have a victory, if you don’t. You get your rig burnt.
Simple.
