Was the cyclist riding dangerously is the important question for me. As I said, unless he shot through the lights at speed I don’t believe he posed a danger to anyone at that time of day; but without more information about…[Read more]

  • Generally speaking, I would agree with GL that the traffic laws are there to protect road users from themselves and others. However, in view of the time of day it seems quite petty of the policeman to bother reporting this offence, unless the cyclist simply whizzed through the light without bothering to slow down/stop to take stock of the…[Read more]

Yes, who can forget the deeds of that great British hero Bomber Harris, and all the guilty civilians the RAF bombed the fuck out of: the women, children and elderly who couldn’t make it to the front line. British military fair play is legendary, isn’t it?

  • Yes, I hate shaving too, but facial growth makes me feel dirty. I tend to leave it 2/3 days between shaves. I can’t complain though, because I didn’t need to shave too regularly until my mid-twenties.
What would you rather have to put up with: shaving or menstruation? My ex-partner and I regularly argued about whose gender martyrdom was the greater.

    Hope this helps.
After I had crashed a motorcycle, many moons ago, a friend of mine gave me some good advice that helped alter my perspective to this day. I was whinging about my bike, and my relatively minor gravel rash, and he said: “Try not to think of the crash you have had, but the bigger one around the corner that was waiting for you, and…[Read more]

  • Tried to download the Old Skool Hardcore Classics Mix 90-95 using the link, but it is not available, and there is a message on the sendspace website suggesting contacting the uploader to ask them to upload the file again. I was looking forward to hearing it after listening to the other mix from the PV site.

Made it to my first party in two years. Went to one on Friday night, one on Saturday night, and talked myself into going to Boom in Portugal. Don’t know how I’ll handle that; I’m not at my best in the heat, and I’ve only been abroad once on a one day shopping trip. After much hard work and stress the celebrations continue …

Teatree oil is highly recommended by my friend too. Her daughter had occasional minor infections of nits, but using Teatree oil they disappeared almost as soon as they were discovered. I think she used to add a few drops to normal shampoo. Since then I have noticed several shampoos have started using Teatree oil, but I would recommend preparing…[Read more]

Ingredients: Eggs, chocolate, pinch of salt.

You need one egg for every two ounces of chocolate (per person, usually). Separate the egg white from the yolk.
Melt the chocolate indirectly (I’m sure you know) by placing in a cup and putting the cup in a pan of boiling water. Do not overheat the chocolate.
break down the yolk, generally whisking or…[Read more]
