Na I used to work in New spittalfields market, but I think this is near the old Spittalfields market, what’s in a different place. Could be near the new one, but tbh I can see many farms being in that area. Then neither can I at the other spittalfields TBF.
Well we used to sell a lot of fruit and veg to the schools in tower hamlets, but no farms. However we may well of bought some from them. :laugh_at:
It’s not THAT far from me, but if it was the new spittalfields market way then it would just be down the road pretty much. That’s where I thought you thought the place was (as I know i’ve mentioned working at spittalfields on here before). 😉
The farm is in E1. Spitalfields did used to have more fields (as the name suggests) but they built the A11 / M11 through the middle of them and then put other buildings alongside the road.
yeah it’s not really that far at all, if you’re looking at the whole of the uk esspecialy, but if you’re thinking locally, considering there’s so many places tight together in london, it’s not the closest of places in my mind (even though it’s only a handful of miles away). The new spittalfields is in E10 what’s even closer.
^^ the same thing happened in E10, they built the A12 right through there, and you got the Olympics buildings now too.
