      [FONT=&quot]“To say thanks for being a Vodafone customer we’re giving you a bonus. For details on your bonus text BONUS to 83669 for free by 15Oct08. Don’t delay text now”[/FONT]

      [FONT=&quot]The short code 83669 belongs to Sybase, not Vodafone and as such I suspect this to be fraudulent behaviour[/FONT]

      [FONT=&quot]Vodafone are aware of this and are currently speaking with management at Sybase[/FONT]
      [FONT=&quot] [/FONT]
      [FONT=&quot]Please be advised that customers should not text the number (there is no obvious charge for the text but it could put users onto a subscription or a marketing list)[/FONT]

      [FONT=&quot]If you have any instances of this please notify your Customer Services as you may be charged for it!!![/FONT]

        ta for the warning. i had a phone call from some one claiming to be from a company phoning me on behalf of virgin mobile asking for personal details as market research .. offering to pay me £30 for my time .. i didn’t get round to checking up on them but didn’t continue with the research any way any one know if there genuin .. they sounded it .. but i didn’t wan’t to risk it
