Subject: TCF Promotions is BACK!!!!! LOOK HERE! ( The Clubbing Forum )
Hey partyvibe,
After a week of battling with mysql we have finally returned, as most our aware the board was hacked last Tuesday shortly after 6pm GMT.
Unfortunitly due to us being in Ibiza, no active backups were made and we have had to sacrifice our 300,000 posts in order to keep the member count.
It is going to take some time to get the site back to the way it was, and we need everyone to help out and contribute in everyway to make it the success it was!
Promoters, DJ’s Clubbers and everyone else are encourage to log on and start posting!
Our new clubnights will start before the end of October(i cant wait), aswell as that we have a huge Producers competition which has been extended, and a huge birthday party for you all to attend aswell!
So get onto TCF and start helping us to help you 😀
Thanks for all the support
Dave & Jo
TCF Promotions Staff.

I’d be surprised if they were targeted specially. Crackers run searches with specially formed URL’s aimed at particular software which they know has a loophole in – sometimes even particular versions of particular software. If you haven’t fixed that loophole or are running the vulnerable version, you’ll be pwn3d instantly.
I see those attacks in my own server logs all the time even though I’m not actually using PHP, and I’m sure it’s something PV/L1 take a lot of care about too (PHP in general and phpBBS in particular having quite a few of these loopholes 😥 )

my crews forum got spambotted to hell, so we had to make it login only, which killed the forum. unfortunatey it was such a shite forum software that we cant even migrate the data. so its basically a deserted relic. shame really. goddamn hackers n spammers.
