innit. good news for kayakers, bad news for gardeners and farmers (i got to paddle across some of the gardens). it actually was worse than it looks in the pics, the gardens across from us were totally under. i picked some lush flowers off what i thought was a river bank, realised when i got home it was someones flower bed. haha. its all back to normal now,but i really feel for someof teh growers, they got theri crops wiped out. still the silt left behind is rich in nutrients, and its early in the year, so it could be worse. after being here a month i still cant beleive the pub suts at 8. its a disgrace. managed to get enough french out to chat up the local femmes which has been fun. my lady’s here with me now so i had to put the kiabosh on that. still, there are other benefits..
