This is a bad name for a thread. It is hard to imagine that a trance CD (esp.) with this name could have any merit?

Well actually i think it’s a fucking awesome CD compilation. Couldn’t care less if others don’t like it. What sort of music you into then?

cant wait for the day when an advert for some trippy psytrance cd comes on the telly or some dirty underground techno instead of all this happy hardcore and cheesy commercial trance that represents modern day electronic music

Old and new trance. I find it hard (i.e. like finding needle in a haystack) to find decent new ‘anthemic trance’ (and 2be honest shudder to use this label); but think Airwave (Touareg), Ferry C (twice in a blue moon), AVB (Imagine), Solar Stone (almost anything) and The Thrillseekers (Nightmusic 1-3) are all OK (innocuous?!). I have not mentioned Above & Beyond as mostly I end up disliking patches of their complilations (with the exception of Tri-state) but find the others much more consistent. I have many many times been disappointed by trance compilations that promise but prove 2 be total gut wrencing wank (stuff with ‘euphoria’ in the title). Other times, I like one CD but not the other. I am always on the lookout for any decent new trance.
