I’ve always meant to ask our own Tank Girl what she thinks about Tank Girl the movie.
I’d never read the comics but had appreciated the artwork before watching the film.
It’s cheesy, corny, badly made and doesn’t seem to have any real sense of direction but for some reason I’ve always really liked the film and I think Lori Petty is really tasty in it!
What’s your take on it Tank Girl? Or anyone else’s opinion for that matter.
Pa-Pa-Pa-Pow!

I saw it when I was about 17 but all I can remember is not massively liking it and it being over stylised and under plotted. I am not a big fan of comic book stuff mind.

I like graphic novels and comics although I’m not hugely in to them like some people are. I tend to find when they get made in to films they always stuff it up though. So the fact that I hadn’t read any Tank Girl previously probably helped me like the film.
The one comic book film they did get right however is V for vendetta. Now that’s a film!
January 24, 2010 at 4:18 pm #1222495Oh and I’d definitely agree with the over stylised and under plotted comment. However, for me it’s just one of those films that you know you shouldn’t like but can’t help but enjoy. Kind of a guilty secret film. I have a few of those. Actually maybe I’ll start a thread and ask if people have any of their own that they are brave enough to admit to.

Love that film must have seen it 5 times! Read the comic too, but I just find the images distracting from the storyline. Would rather read a book but then it was my first comic book so maybe I should give it another go
