Radio Bitrate is now 128Kbps

As we have the new server TribalEditor and SdZ have decided they can allow for everyone to stream at 128kbps instead of 96kbps. All the loops will become 128kbps over the next day.

In fact its recommended that you stream at 128kbps because its the only way you will get the listeners transfered from the loop to your live stream.

Streaming Crews : Update your oddcast settings now.

All listeners : Lock on and enjoy the radio with increased quality.

Should work nicely for most giving good quality although if you have a slower broadband connection and suffer any problems at all you could drop back to 96 / 64 or even 56 if needed.

Ive noticed an increase in problems with people skipping since we switched over. Im extremely confident in the new servers connectivity by having it moved to europe and the uplink port now 100mbps. Ive also begun running automed network latency tests every 5 minutes to several locations across the world. I get notified when theres any significant packet loss.

Remember that your going to have to make extra sure your internet connection is clear streaming at 128kbps.

FYI: The problem Vinyl Vera had yesterday was her soundcard by the way. She had the wrong one selected.
