Saw the mad professor yesterday and he were FUCKIN AMAZIN (Excuse the swearin but he were just that good!)
Playin a mixin desk live.. Thats the proper way to do it:weee:. Had loads of AUX sends on his desk with loads of reeeeeeeete wierd effects n all. Must have had a sick sampler to load all the channels of each tune in as fast as it did.
(Hes one of the original dub artists for anyone who doesnt know)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6yX-UYwxX_U his most famous tune if anyone doesnt kno hu he is
Through the Sama Roots sound system n all which has these 6 scoop bins with 18inch drivers in em. Tis a rete rig.

The main problem with that system I think is that the bass bins arent rete flexible. They can do a kind of rete deep bass-note but not much of a bass-line. When Rogue State were playin I expected his usual wobbly bassline but instead it were just a note:yakk:

There in lies the problem with scoops. They are great for duby sounds and heavy one note bass. Nice and warm but not very responsive or musical.
