….to their music collection?
Out of everything that I own, my records are the one thing that would destroy me if they were lost/stolen/damaged. I could live with losing anything else but my tunes.
My worst nightmare is coming home to see the house on fire (I don’t think theives would bother lifting them all tbh. Plus they probably can’t make a quick sale)
Anyone else feel the same way. Vinyl, CD’s, MP3’s whatever…

…the photo’s on my wall.
There from loads of nights out. All the memories and all that bollocks. I have a brain like a siv and a memory of a fish, so many of my nights I can’t remember unless I have the ‘evidence’.
If those went then I’d be plenty peed.
October 31, 2005 at 3:25 pm #1067556Bonus of having them on a computer is being able to back them up and keep them safe.
Not quite the same as a proper photo though.
I’d like to back up my whole vinyl collection to MP3. I started to do it once but then did some calulations and realised it would take me approx 527hrs to do it.
Mp3 wouldn’t be anywhere near the same, but at least I’d still have the music.

527 hours?? I know some mini cab drivers who work that, haha.
October 31, 2005 at 5:14 pm #1067561I couldn’t loose my guitars or my pets. Those two things keep me sane when nothing else can.
October 31, 2005 at 7:11 pm #1067558yeah deffo feel the same about my records, dont really care bout cd’s since i very rarely listen to them. Would hate the thought of something happin to my tunes.
October 31, 2005 at 11:08 pm #1067560if my house was buring down
my first choices for stuff to save would be my daughter
after that ‘caveat’
would be my records
no doubt
November 1, 2005 at 3:13 pm #1067557Of course! Pets and family (and anyone for that matter) go without saying. I’m talking about inanimate objects.
If we are talking about saving things in the event of a fire then i’d probably burn to death trying to carefuly lower my records out the window. Either that or I make it out wih 3rd degree burns and a pile of warped vinyl.
