The pitch issue is one that often rears it’s head. I suppose it’s a matter of opinion but +/- 8 is plenty for me. If I get near that +8 mark it bothers me anyway because a lot of tunes start to sound a bit silly when they are pitched up that high IMO.

With a larger pitch range comes less accuracy too.
