    check your settings to make sure that the sound is not muted on the player?

    also check to see thaat there isnt more than one player fighting for control?

    or my personal favourite, remove winamp, windows media player, etc and install VLC media player which solved my problems after much swearing aabout exactly this problem and works beautifully first time every time…
