      At least if they find the new “IP over everything” desks and the virtual radio project goes badly defective after just a few years (or does not work correctly at all) its not too far away to haul it back :laugh_at:

      I’m surprised that a MK III would have been installed new in 1986 (the design being 20 years old by then) especially in this region where an EELA (NL) or DHD(DE) wouldn’t have cost any more to install but knowing the BBC its not impossible 😉

      impressive that its still in operational use and it wasn’t that difficult to adapt it to modern radio broadcast practice (well modern as in BBC Local Radio modern; although to be fair their news coverage and phone ins require more skill than todays commercial stations)
