A lot of you may initially think “I don’t like any ballads”, but I call bullcrap on that. Who can resist a bit of Meatloaf or Bryan Adams?!

June 28, 2013 at 5:09 pm #1274296heard this on Radio Caroline recently (and when I was younger even thought it was about them and the Mi Amigo) – was popular there in the 80s, probably a bit of dark humour from the Caroline DJ’s and crew as many of the radio ships weren’t the most seaworthy) 😉
The Canadian dude what wrote it is also a sailor who grew up around the area where it happened..

It qualifies in my books and I’m the thread maker so I get final say lol.
Along with Ebenezer Goode it’s a timeless classic

LOL! That’d be a great thread, just endless pictures of Piers Morgan and various politicians!

Cheers mate, very kind of you to allow it!
Thank you pal, that it’s even been mentioned in the same breath as Ebenezer Goode is more than I could ever have hoped for. If it’s looked back on in 20 years time as fondly as Ebenezer Goode is these days, then I’ll be a very happy man indeed mate! 🙂
