It’s a refreshing look at the other side of hip hop, and Devotion is a natural at both the rhymes and video performance. The video unfolds to tell of a “courtship” where the guy is coming with game, and she is not the least bit fooled or conned into going for it because she has a self-confidence that comes from an inner strength that doesn’t let you down. She is a smooth rapper and the reggae beat is very danceable. The groove is so strong that this could easily cross over to other musical genres.
