Are you an unsigned producer who wants their music heard on a new radio station broadcasting in South Devon? Granted, this may not seem such a great opportunity in light of the fact that we can all reap the benefits of recent advances in web streaming, but hear me out!
soundart radio is broadcasting from campus at Dartington college of art, located in the middle of a unique rural community that is becoming a hotbed for artists and producers in south devon, near Totnes. Although the radio will at first only be broadcasting to a very localised area on good ol’ FM radio, it is a wicked opportunity to get your music heard by an active community of interested listeners who are hungry for electronica of all kinds.
I have been given a slot every other thursday nite to do two hours of new electronica/ interesting beats/ forward thinking dance music, with a emphasis on showcasing new music from the south west. If you feel you have anything you have made which would suit being played (my selection policy is going to be extremely open for this show, as wide and varied as possible) please get in touch.
The station will be online soon, recordings can be made if desired until then. This is a great opportunity to promote yourself, I will only be to happy to tell listeners contact details as I play your stuff, and promise that your artistic integrity will in no way be compromised i.e i wont make copies of stuff for people or anything like that (unless you want me to)
As much as anything i see this as a way that i can make contact with fellow producers in the area to which I have recently relocated and TBH that is more important to me, as well as hopefully being able to discover amazing new music. Also putting the show is part of what I am doing here at college, and something I am putting a lot of time towards.
So you know what to do, PM me if you have any music you wish to be played!
